New American Racing Warranty Policy American Racing is pleased to announce its' new warranty policy for all brands associated with American Racing. We are consolidating our current policies to meet industry standards. American Racing tests its products to the highest quality standards; which includes SAE and VIA/JWL standards. The new policy is designed to offer our customers the best possible guarantee of quality assurance and customer service in the automotive aftermarket industry. In addition, we anticipate that this policy will make it easier for you to do business with American Racing in the future. Effective immediately, pursuant to the terms of the agreement under which American Racing acquired the assets of Weld Racing, warranty claims relating to Weld Racing products purchased prior to September 28, 2006 must be referred to the Weld estate at 816-292-8881. American Racing did not assume responsibility for these warranty claims and will not be honoring warranty claims for Weld Racing products acquired prior to September 28, 2006. Any product purchased after the acquisition will carry the regular American Racing Warranty, which is below. STRUCTURAL WARRANTY Aftermarket Wheels: AMERICAN RACING EQUIPMENT, INC. (ARE) warrants that aftermarket wheels manufactured by ARE will be free from structural failure for the life of the product; and free from defects in material and workmanship, under normal and intended use for a period of one year from retail purchase, as long as the original retail purchaser owns the product. All Sports Forged TM and Crusher TM wheels under the Weld Brand will be free from structural failure and free from defects in material and workmanship, under normal and intended use for a period of three (3) years from retail purchase, as long as the original retail purchaser owns the product. Motorports Wheels: ARE warrants that all Motorsports wheels are free from defects in material and workmanship under normal and intended use for a period of thirty (30) days from retail purchase, as long as the original retail purchaser owns the product. Wheels under this warranty include the Weld Motorsports and Pro-Series brand. FINISH WARRANTY ON AFTERMARKET WHEELS Chrome and Teflon® Finish: For wheels sold in North America, ARE warrants that all aluminum wheels are free from defects in material and workmanship under normal and intended use for a period of two (2) years from retail purchase, as long as the original retail purchaser owns the product. ARE warrants that all steel wheels are free from defects in material and workmanship under normal and intended use for a period of ninety (90) days from retail purchase, as long as the original retail purchaser owns the product. Paint Finish: For wheels sold in North America, ARE warrants that all aluminum wheels are free from defects in material and workmanship on paint or clear coat, under normal and intended use for a period of one (1) year from retail purchase, as long as the original retail purchaser owns the product. ARE warrants that all steel wheels are free from defects in material and workmanship on paint or clear coat, under normal and intended use, specifically excluding surface rust, for a period of ninety (90) days from retail purchase, as long as the original retail purchaser owns the product. Polished Finish: Polished and billet aluminum wheels oxidize and require regular maintenance. Their finish is not covered by warranty. AMERICAN RACING EQUIPMENT, INC.'s sole and exclusive obligation under this warranty shall be to repair or replace at AMERICAN RACING EQUIPMENT, INC.'s sole discretion without charge, any AMERICAN RACING EQUIPMENT, INC. product that does not conform to this warranty and is returned, with a copy of the original sales receipt or other satisfactory evidence of date of purchase, to the dealer from whom the product was originally purchased. Such repair or replacement shall not include removal or installation. IN NO EVENT SHALL AMERICAN RACING EQUIPMENT, INC. BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. This warranty is not applicable to AMERICAN RACING EQUIPMENT, INC. products if: A. Damage occurred due to failure to follow the complete instructions in the Owner's Manual, supplied with each wheel; B. Corrosion or damage occurred due to improper maintenance, other then the recommended procedures that are included in the Owner's Manual supplied with each wheel; C. Damage or structural failure occurs as a result of an accident or road conditions; D. Damage or structural failure occurs as a result of racing applications. THIS LIMITED WARRANTY IS THE SOLE EXPRESS WARRANTY GIVEN BY AMERICAN RACING EQUIPMENT, INC. AND IS IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER EXPRESS WARRANTIES, WHETHER ORAL OR WRITTEN. ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, SHALL BE LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE DURATION OF THIS WARRANTY. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts and/or the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so one or more of the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state. This warranty expires upon transfer of title of any AMERICAN RACING EQUIPMENT, INC. products by the original retail purchaser. No warranty or representation by anyone other than AMERICAN RACING EQUIPMENT, INC. shall be binding upon AMERICAN RACING EQUIPMENT, INC. AMERICAN RACING EQUIPMENT, INC. wheels are not designed to be mounted with any accessories or adapters, etc., other than those supplied and or approved by AMERICAN RACING EQUIPMENT, INC. and damage caused by any such other accessories or adapters is not covered by this warranty. All warranty returns will be reviewed by AMERICAN RACING EQUIPMENT, INC. If returned products are found not to be subject to warranty coverage, the product will be returned to the sender, without repair or replacement, at the sender's expense. |
