Weld EVO 454 Renegade

i purchased these wheels in mid 07 and put them on my 06 dodge mega cab. the problem is that one has developed a crack from the valve stem around the wheel and it is about 6-8 inches long and it leaks. the wheels have never been hit or damaged in any way. it there something that you (the company) can do to these or is there any warranty on these or can they be rewelded? thanks for your help. tate

The original company, Weld Wheel Industries is out of business now. You will need to take your original receipt back to the dealer you purchased the product from. If they were purchased in 2007, American Racing owned the company at this time and will need to be contacted for warranty information. I would not in any way shape or form, re-weld the wheel and drive on it. If you have further questions please call our office at the toll free number provided. We can discuss this further.

Take your reciept to the dealer you purchased them from. They will need to make the call to the distributor.

thats the problem i cant find the ticket. is there any way you can find out what type of aluminum(like the number) these are made out of for me? these are going a show pickup and i really want to use them. thanks for your help. tate

I have the exact same problem with mine. They were on an 05 Dodge quad cab Cummins. One of them split from the about 3 inches from the valve stem. I have since replaced them with a set of KMC's. I hate to have such a high dollar set of wheels go to waste. They are just taking up space in my garage. Hey dodgeboy67748 If they cant be repared or warrented maybe we can work out something to make one good set out of ones we cant use. Mine are 8.5x20.

im going to try and weld the wheel that is broke and see if it will last. my wheels are 18x8.5. i would love to buy your if they were 18x8.5. thanks and let me know if you get anything done with your wheels. thanks again. tate

I would never re-weld any wheel and drive on it.

i am a journeyman machinist in a machine shop in northern canada and we repair aluminum rims often. all you need to do is keep wet rags around the area youare welding sothat the heat doesn't transfer to the rest of the rim and distort it. we have never had a problem, even with low profile tires on these shitty canadian roads
