Is there a big difference in these 2 wheels other than looks?
Looking to go 7's in the 1/4 mile.

Yes there is a HUGE difference between these wheels. The Prostar is a street and strip wheel that you can run on the street. The Alumastar is only rated for non-street use. Drag racing only. They are made with different materials, and completely different construction methods. If it is a race only car then the alumastar would be the choice.

This is a race car (6.0 cert)... Is there a strength difference or rating that would make the Alumastar better. I just want the safest front wheels on the car. I have bead locks on back.

The 15x3.5 AlumaStar 2.0 is currently being used in Pro Stock, Pro Mod, TAFC, many index, and bracket classes. Both the spindle mount and lug mount versions of the wheel exceed SFI 15.2 standards.

Weld Racing Pro Loc Rings work with wheels like Sandstorm, Tucson, Torque-Loc and Dune. These fit 17" wheels. I bought these used with my wheels (Sandstorm's) and I decided not to keep them on. They have scratches. I am missing 3 screws. Still plenty of hardware to keep them on. $90 for all 4.
