Mike Edwards reset the NHRA Pro Stock record in Richmond, Virginia on Weld Ultra Lite Beadlocs this past weekend. Mike's 6.509 was the quickest pass in NHRA Pro Stock history, and capped off a weekend in which Mike earned the maximum points available by qualifying number 1, winning the race, and resetting the national record. The win was Mike's fifth victory of the season, and with only 8 rounds of racing left, his 128 point lead gives him a 6 round cushion.
Mike was the first racer to run Weld Ultra Lite Beadlocs, beginning in May at the NHRA Summer Nationals in Topeka, KS. A Pro Stock style 16 x 16 Weld Ultra Lite weighs approximately 22.1 lbs.
